Kažadoročně si 15. května svět připomíná výročí vyhnání palestinských obyvatel známé pod názvem al Nakba, k němuž došlo v roce 1948.
Do Prahy ve třetím květnovém týdnu zavítá Ronnie Barkan, izraelský aktivista, který stál za zrodem organizace Boycott From Within a v roce 2004 se aktivně zapojoval do protestů proti izraelskému násilí na Západním břehu a v Jeruzalémě.
Bude mluvit o odkazu Nakby, proměně Jeruzaléma v čase, roli izraelské opozice vůči sionismu a mnohém dalším.

Ronnie Barkan is an Israeli activist, a conscientious objector and co-founder of Boycott from Within - a group of conscientious Israelis who support the Palestinian call for BDS. Barkan will be visiting Canada in March 2017, where he will discuss the
supremacy and state of denial of Israeli society and the many myths that Israelis and the rest of the world have been trained to believe. He claims that there is no Israeli left, nor a peace camp, and that in fact they never existed. Rather, the only responsible and feasible way to bring about a change for the better depends on
everyone of us - every conscientious person outside of Palestine who cares about a better future for all the people of that land.
