Studentský Majáles se navrací k dlouhé historické tradici studentských májových slavností, které vždy vznikaly z iniciativy studentů. Majáles není pouhou oslavou jara, je prostorem pro prezentaci studentského života, jeho autenticity, ale také místem pro kritiku a nadsázku.
Chceme vrátit Majáles studentům, vytvořit tak platformu setkávání a poznávání se. Dáváme prostor studentským spolkům a rádi bychom tak znovu vzbudili ve studentech zájem o dění na univerzitách. Z Majálesu je cítit studentská atmosféra, vtip, ironie, nadsázka, kritika i sebekritika. Stavíme Majáles na hodnotě svobody a nezávislosti univerzit, kde nabízíme prostor pro kritiku, střet názorů, a v neposlední řadě pro prezentaci autentické studentské kultury.

Majáles is a traditional student festival which takes place on May 1st every year. Student Majáles is a new project which was born in 2013 and was held on the Charles University campus. It all started with a few active students who disagreed with the current form of Majáles celebrations and wanted to emphasize the fact that Majáles is the celebration of Students. Therefore, it should not be a commercial event and should be organized by students themselves which was typical for the original Majáles celebrations in the 60ies.
The goal of Majáles is to present an authentic student culture. It is a multicultural student festival which presents student bands, theaters, films, clubs and beginning artists.
Akce se koná v pondělí 1. května, průvod začíná v 10:00 na Kampě.
